At SFAH attention and care is used for both the medical and emotional well being of our pets.  Our goal is to help support clients too, with their pets and in their life. Dr. Cheryl Sammons loves learning, educating, and caring for pets, and their humans.

In South Franklin Animal Hospital attention is given to the perception your pet will have to sights, scents, sounds, touch. In following the fear free veterinary principles we try to not allow animals to see other animals. This can be huge increase in FAS. So immediate in rooms, or private in treatment, kennels covered, and hiding for cats and small dogs.  Appeasing pheromones are used on our clothes, scales, rooms, bedding, and bandannas on pets. I Calmin each room, treatment, and boarding areas. Bedding, cots, soft towels, and heating pads. PVN Pre Visit Neutraceutical and/or  PVP Pre Visit Prescriptions are heavily recommend for any patients suffering with FAS/Fear Anxiety Stress of travel and vet visits.  These are helpful to reduce FAS in our patients s for a positive association with our vet hospital. Dogs and cats that are calm in our exam rooms or treatment, are more motivated and focused on our treats and love. Our feline exam rooms have hiding areas and perches to lower FAS.http://www.fearfreehome.com http://www.fearfreepet.com

When your Vet lays on the floor patiently waiting for your shy and timid cat to make his appearance so that she doesn’t cause him anymore stress- you know you’re in the right place.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Sammons and her staff. They have been taking care of my 2 cats and elderly pup for over 8 years.
I love that it has always been the same faces over the years of being patients of hers.

They truly take the time and care about each of my pets. They are great about reminding me of treatment that is recommended and have always been easy to reach with my overly annoying helicopter dog mom questions. 🙂
