Dr. Nellie Wilbers
Dr. Nellie Wilbers graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015, and was OSU’s 2015 recipient of the Elanco Behavior Award. Dr. Nellie is certified silver in Low Stress handling and a professional member of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior. She has attended numerous conferences and continuing education on animal behavior and handling and enjoys helping OSU vet students learn about compassionate vet care during their first year labs.
Dr. Nellie is available for in-home veterinary behavior consultations for owned pets in central Ohio through her practice Pets and People in Harmony. Her goal is to help families find peace in their household by improving communication between guardians and their pets to help the household meet each other’s needs. In her spare time, Dr. Nellie enjoys quality time with her four rescue pets including her pit bull Mars, Golden Retriever Moksha, and sibling cats Elliot and Arya. She enjoys using force free positive reinforcement training with her dogs and cats, the Koi and Shubunkin in her pond, and various other animals including a goat and a calf. Dr. Nellie also enjoys yoga, permaculture gardening, ballroom dancing, backpacking and biking.
