My mission is to offer an exceptional level of care to the pets that are entrusted to me.
I have had many breeds of dogs and cats as pets my whole life. Working with animals is my dream job! I have worked with all kinds of dogs and cats, from energetic and playful to senior, rescues and pets with special needs. Every dog and cat has a unique personality, and I enjoy meeting and working with new dogs and cats all the time. I am a loving and reliable companion to all kinds of pets when the parents aren’t available.
Before I started my pet sitting and dog walking business in 2019, I volunteered for over a two years walking dogs at the San Diego Humane Society for several hours each week. This gave me hands on experience with hundreds of wonderful dogs that I wouldn’t have been able to work with otherwise. I also volunteered walking dogs and socializing puppies, cats, and kittens for over a year at Helen Woodward. I was a Red level dog handler-requiring the highest level of skills on their yellow, orange and red scale. I treat all animals with love and respect as if they were my own.
I am a Certified Professional Animal Care Provider (CPACP) with PACCC and I am also certified with Pet Sitters International. I have a Certificate of Completion of Cat and Dog First Aid including CPR from the San Diego Humane Society. I also am a Fear Free Certified Professional (Fear Free Elite), and I have a Certificate of Completion from the Fear Free Shelters Program. Their mission is to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety, and stress (FAS) in pets (both dogs and cats) by inspiring and educating the people who care for them.
I have gone through dog training with my own dogs and am actively training my dog, Roxy, for the American Kennel Club Good Canine Citizenship certification. Making sure that pets are safe, happy and healthy is my priority.
Daphne is amazing! I was looking for someone who would care for my dog the same as they would care for their own… Daphne was that and more! It was as if I had a member of my family watching and caring for my dog. Truly made my week long trip stress free knowing my dog was in great hands. Thank you again Daphne and you will be the only person I request to watch Jack from now on!

My dogs are picky with whom they will accept into their circle of humans. So, when I reached out to Daphne, I was not sure how she would be greeted. Daphne scheduled a meet and greet with my 5 dogs (all 15-25 lbs) to make sure it was a good fit for everyone. She introduced herself to each one individually as she sat on the floor and waited for each one to see if she was trustworthy. She passed with flying colors-HORRAY!!! If my dogs like her, then I for sure like her too.Daphne is wonderful! She is a kind and gentle lady as well as organized and punctual. I have been a client for about 5 months and have been very pleased and comfortable with entrusting my pups to her care. Not only do I always get an update about the walk, but she also advises me about anything unusual that she may observe about my dog’s behavior or health concerns. I highly recommend Daphne for even for the pickiest of pets!

Daphne watched our 3 cats, 2 of which are kittens, and it was so much peace of mind having her care for them while we were away for Thanksgiving vacation. We could tell from her reports and pictures that they were not only receiving care, but plenty of cuddles and play as well. She took the time to meet with me beforehand to really understand our dynamic, and I really appreciated her time and compassion!
