Canine Behavioural School is a not-for profit dog training facility that concentrates on pet manners and behavioural training. Part of our curriculum is teaching dog guardians how to handle their dogs for veterinary and grooming procedures. We have small classes and instructors who have formal qualifications or who are in the process of gaining formal qualifications
On Monday nights, after working at a school for humans, my hubby and I head off to school for pooches, with Henry, our Miniature Schnauzer. Our sessions at CBS are run by organised, passionate, knowledgeable people, who encourage and teach us consistently every week. In just a few short weeks, we have learnt so much about building relationship with our pup, and we are gaining a great understanding about how to work with our dog to train and stimulate his brain. There is never any need to discipline our dog; rather, we have learnt to reinforce the behaviours we want, to his advantage, and to ours. I love the way our instructors truly have a helpful, evidence-based response for every question, never treating us as if we should already know the answer. I highly recommend CBS. It is a truly excellent community resource. Attending is one of the highlights of every week! Sandie
