In 1989, Dr. Mike Schafer purchased Sagamore Animal Hospital in Rye, NH, where Drs. Cindy Wojcicki & Frank Marchell came to practice. Four years later, Piscataqua Animal Hospital opened its doors under Drs. Frank & Mike, and then Dr. Cindy purchased Merrimac Valley Animal Hospital in 1998. Although each practice operated independently, they remained friendly. Old Brown Dog Veterinary Partners (OBDVP) grew out of a need for Mike, Cindy, and Frank to have in place a transition plan for their future – one they could feel good and excited about.  So here we are, Old Brown Dog Veterinary Partners (OBDVP); a merger which includes Merrimac Valley Animal Hospital, Piscataqua Animal Hospital, and Sagamore Animal Hospital.
