Our practice does not resemble the scary cold, echoing rooms of what most owners and pets have been exposed to in the past. Dr. Salvo offers the knowledge of Traditional Veterinary Medicine, Alternative Medicine, Rehabilitation and Reproduction to her patients. The Integrative approach allows our clients to chose which approach they are comfortable with and together we devise treatment, prevention and medical plans that suit the individual patient’s needs as best possible.
I realized I walked into this life of treating animals and educating their human counterparts to better their lives and improve their quality of it together. I was not able to achieve this in a general ” Western” medicine setting. My appointments are based on my patients needs and how we can achieve them together as a whole; owner, patient and doctor together in a fear free setting that is calming and welcoming. Having a strong healthcare team with an owner that is educated about their pets specific situation by involving that owner will benefit not only the patient but the bond between them. This allows for a more complete approach to our pet’s lives and overall wellbeing. Striving for not just quantity of life, but quality is key. This is what I promise to strive for everyday for each one of my patients.
First of all, the staff is so happy and nice. It is a good vibe right when you walk in the door. The general manager, Jessie, is always smiling and you can tell she how much she loves the animals and Jessie is great with people too. Dr. Salvo, who I recently met, was wonderful in her approach, using positive reinforcement with treats and peanut butter for my Chocolate Labrador who can be a little afraid of vets. My dog was very comfortable and happy with Dr Salvo’s approach.
