Kristi offers one-on-one training help to clients across Canada and group classes in the Parkland area of Manitoba and Saskatchewan. She works with clients with most problem types, from simple unruly behaviour or lack of basic ‘obedience’ type training, to fearfulness and aggression. As a Full Member, Dog Training Professional of the Pet Professional Guild, as well as a graduate of the Fear Free Trainer’s Certification, she is committed to behaviour modification techniques that avoid the use of painful or fear-inducing consequences.
Kristi is an honours graduate of the Academy for Dog Trainers, where she earned her Certificate in Training and Counseling (CTC). She has focussed her education on the use of science-based and humane techniques to change both a dog’s behaviour and a dog’s emotional state. After graduating, Kristi was hired to be on staff at the Academy, where she coaches and mentors students and directs the Academy’s Husbandry Project, the Academy’s contribution to the burgeoning practice of co-operative veterinary care.
