Melissa Ann Oryniak
Hello! I am a licensed/certified emergency and critical care veterinary technician (LVT/CVT). I have pursued my passion in this profession for 13 years, 5 of those in general practice and 8 in emergency and critical care. I graduated with a BS in Animal Science from Rutgers University — New Brunswick in 2005, became an LVT/CVT after passing the VTNE in 2011, became Fear Free Certified in 2016 and then Fear Free Certified at the Elite and Avian levels in 2020. I have previously worked alongside veterinary professionals at Paulus Animal Hospital, Luv My Pet Mobile Veterinary Clinic, Emerson Animal Hospital, Princeton Animal Hospital, Edgebrook Animal Hospital, Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, Crown Veterinary Specialists and Associates, and Northstar Vets Veterinary Emergency, Trauma, and Specialty Center. I see, know, hear, and feel that my purpose in life is to continue to learn and grow so that I can enrich the lives of others and give back to my community and the world around me. With that mission in mind, I decided to pursue an AAB in Business Management: Human Resources in August 2019 and will be completing my degree in December 2021. I also joined Pet Sitters International in September 2021 and am pursuing a certification to be a Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS). Connected to both my veterinary technician and pet sitter positions is my heart for hospice/end of life care and pet loss and bereavement. I believe that all pets and their parents/families deserve a great quality of life and I strive to provide that for them until the very end and afterwards as well.
“Friendship is this! sitting on a bathroom floor for 5.5 hours helping cut the mats out of our Rosie girls hair Melissa A. Oryniak is so patient and kind and loving and I can go on and on. Rosie was so comfy she fell asleep on Melissa several time times. David Oryniak thanks for lending her to me longer than you imagined. Long hair, dirty girl getting bathed when she wasn’t combed = a ton of mats that the groomer didn’t want to handle so Melissa helped rescue me and our Rosie girl. Thank you sooo much. And I promise we’ll have hours of fun conversation while we are sitting comfortably on a couch next time ”
