Monique Williams, CPDT-KA
Monique Williams is a dog training professional certified nationally through Fear-Free, the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors (NADOI) and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). Through her company, Stonebriar Dog Training LLC, Monique provides West Georgia with in-home training, group training, and behavior counseling services. Monique specializes in puppy development and behavior issues such as aggression and separation anxiety. Monique has over 30 years experience in training and behavior, beginning with AKC conformation competition in 1981. Since then, Monique has trained or titled her own and client dogs in a variety of training disciplines, including conformation, obedience, Rally-O, tracking, herding, and lure coursing. Monique breeds and competes with Smooth Collies under the kennel name Stonebriar.
Mentoring for Animal Behavior College since 2004, Monique’s favorite role in her training practice is that of guide and teacher for new, aspiring trainers. Monique authored two stages of Animal Behavior College’s dog training curriculum: Stage 3, A Trainer’s Toolbox , and Stage 6, Learning the Art of Effective Problem Solving. Strongly committed to the importance of mentoring, Monique presented a short, Giving Back: The Benefits and Rewards of Mentoring Aspiring Trainers, at the Association of Professional Dog Trainers’ 2013 conference in Spokane, Washington.
